Since 2010, Trece has played various leadership roles supporting the Foundation's strategic vision to build a wider community of educators and learners able to access Arabic and a deeper understanding of the Arab world, including now as Executive Director.
Leveraging a multi-disciplinary background, Trece helped transition QFI from a start-up to a recognized, well-established organization. She built and strengthened the operational, financial, and grant-making infrastructures, improved decision-making processes, prioritized talent support and development, and mitigated organizational risks to maximize organizational impact.
Before joining QFI, she worked at community-based and international nonprofits, including the International Institute of Education, Save Darfur Coalition, and American Cancer Society, managing $20-$40 million budgets from both government and private sources serving diverse communities in the Americas, Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East.
Trece holds an MSA and MPA, both from American University. She graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a BA in English and a concentration in Peace Studies.
