Spotlight: Celebrating Crossroads

Celebrating the crossroads between American and Arab cultures, QFI hosted an exchange bringing students from Los Angeles, Portland and Qatar together in the Spring of 2013 focused on language, identity, culture, and art. Commemorating their experience together, QFI is hosting an opening art exhibit on the 24th of June featuring the artwork the students created. The art installation, Áber: Expressions of Culture, Identity and Language will run from June 24 – July 13th and invites us to imagine a world where misconceptions and stereotypes between two cultures can be broken down and re-imagined through the modern works of young people, unafraid to explore common bonds.  If you are in the LA area and would like to attend, please RSVP.
