Grants

QFI’s philanthropic resources are allocated to specific projects and programs that fit our targeted areas of interest. Through our Arabic Language and Culture grants, QFI promotes excellence in the classroom and advances the teaching of the Arabic language and culture in public and public charter schools throughout the Americas.

Most grants are initiated by QFI and do not stem from unsolicited proposals. However, unsolicited proposals that fall within our areas of interest and are appropriate for our mission are reviewed on an ongoing basis. Please read our Mission Statement, details of our current programs, plans for future work, and our guidelines before submitting a letter of interest. Individuals and organizations seeking grants must apply through QFI’s Grants Management Portal.

School & Institution Opportunities

QFI’s grantees share our vision of a world that embraces and respects diversity, values lifelong learning, and empowers individuals to take action to shape their future.

Student Opportunities

QFI supports students and alumni involved in our programs in a variety of initiatives that fall within our areas of interest. The grants provide offerings to high school and undergraduate students from communities in the US, Qatar and the Americas, who are interested in Arabic language and culture and community and service initiatives.

Our student grants are initiated exclusively by QFI and do not stem from unsolicited proposals. Furthermore, they are offered to QFI alumni and/or students of QFI’s Global Schools Network. All students must be active participants in Youth Allied to Learn, Lead and Help (YALLAH), QFI’s online youth platform. “Alumni” are defined as participants in a QFI-sponsored educational trip abroad or students who have successfully completed a QFI-sponsored Arabic program in the US, Qatar or Brazil.

Students seeking grants must apply through QFI’s Grants Management Portal. QFI also manages its Grantees through this portal.

Teacher Opportunities

QFI’s grants to teachers are designed to strengthen the teaching profession in the US, Brazil, and Qatar – providing training and access to professional meetings, supporting advances in curriculum and instruction and creating new venues for collaboration. These grants currently fall under the following three categories: Teacher Initiative Grants, Teacher Fellowships, and Education and Travel Grants.

Individuals, organizations, and institutions seeking grants must apply through QFI’s Grants Management Portal. QFI also manages its Grantees through this portal. QFI’s grantees share our vision of a world that embraces and respects diversity, and values lifelong learning.
